Full Service Interior Design
AVERAGE DESIGN FEE
$5,500 CAD Per Room
Our full-service interior design offering is tailored to clients who are looking for a full design plan including finishes like tile, flooring, and countertops, fixtures such as kitchen and bath faucets, hardware, furniture, lighting, art, decor, window coverings, styling, and any custom furnishings or custom millwork.
This service includes everything from initial concept and floor plan drawings to procurement and installation. We handle all project management as well. This project finishes with a single or multi-day installation and styling session for all furniture, art, and accessories.
Full Furnishing & Decoration
AVERAGE DESIGN FEE
$3,500 CAD Per Room
This is the same experience as our Full-Service Interior Design offering, but focusing solely on furnishing and decoration. This service includes everything from initial concept and furniture layout drawings, to procurement and installation. Furniture, art, accessories, window coverings, paint colours, and wall coverings are all included in this type of project. We handle all project management as well. This project finishes with a single or multi-day installation and styling session for all furniture, art, and accessories.
Virtual Interior Design
AVERAGE DESIGN FEE
$1,500 CAD Per Room
Our virtual interior design projects include all stages of our process, up to the procurement phase. We create an aesthetic concept, a furniture layout, a design plan with furniture, lighting, art, decor, and window coverings, and a finish & fixture package that can be passed on to your contractor. We provide an ordering spreadsheet for all furniture, lighting, decor, art, and textiles so that you can implement all of the design plans. This service does not include project management or procurement.
Design Consultations
VIRTUAL $275/60 min (CAD) + GST
IN-PERSON $375/60 min (CAD) + GST
We offer both virtual and in-person consulting sessions.
Our virtual sessions are done over video call and are perfect if you'd like input with your project and guidance on making final decisions. In a 60-minute session, we can plan furniture layouts, source a specific category like tiles, work through design challenges, select paint colours, and more.
Our in-home consults are available within Calgary and can be a single session to provide ideas for you to implement on your own or as the start of a larger project that you're interested in.
After each session, you'll receive a document outlining our professional recommendations and any sources that we discussed, or, when you're interested, a customized proposal for a larger scope.
Our Process
A considered, thorough process and thoughtful systems make for a smoother, more enjoyable design experience for our clients. We want you to be able to sit back and relax. Here are the steps we move through during a full-service interior design project.
PHASE I: ONBOARDING
During our first stage of work together, we focus on project initiation and onboarding. Once you have made an inquiry, you receive an Investment Guide to review, before moving on to next steps which can include a consultation and proposal, before you sign your project service agreement and submit your deposit to initiate the project officially.
PHASE II: DESIGN
Phase II is comprised of Design Concept and Design Development stages. During the Design Concept stage, we hold a design kick-off meeting, the KMI team creates mood boards and an overall design concept, and this leads to a presentation and refinement. The Design Development stage is where we go away and work on CAD drawings including floor plans and elevations, pricing spec sheets and a product list, and we gather all physical samples. This stage culminates in a design presentation with all plans.
PHASE III: IMPLEMENTATION
Phase III is when we order all approved furniture, lighting, and accessories and when we coordinate with workrooms on custom furniture and decor. We create implementation documents for the contractor and coordinate with trades for smaller projects (painters, wallpaper hangers). We track all orders and organize installation and styling day(s) where we place everything and put the finishing touches on your home.
